Fatah leader, Marwan Barghouti, was visited in jail by an Arab Member of the Israeli Knesset, Jamal Zahalka, Wallah news website reported on Wednesday.

Zahalka spent two hours with Barghouti discussing several issues, including the latest developments regarding Palestinian prisoners. They also discussed the problem of the “fascist” Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu.

During the meeting, Barghouti hailed the unity among Palestinians in Israel, namely the Joint List, the political party formed to encompass all Arab MKs.

Barghouti, who was arrested in 2004, was accused of allegedly being involved in four “terrorist” attacks.
