In anticipation of the arrival of an all-female flotilla to Gaza, Gaza-based female activists recorded a message in which they welcomed the international activists and saluted their courageous act. The Women’s Boat to Gaza is the latest of repeated efforts aimed at breaking the decade-long Gaza siege.
The female activists in Gaza also called for supporting the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement which aims at ending Israeli occupation and champions Palestinian rights and freedom.

Worldwide support for the non-violent BDS movement continues, in spite of political and mainstream media suppression of stories about related activities such as this. It is one of many heroic attempts to counter the longstanding illegal blockage of access to Gaza by sea.
May this voyage be successful, allowing those from many nations aboard the ‘Women’s Boat to Gaza’ to meet the many Palestinian women who look forward to welcoming them on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea!
