Ali Akbar Velayati, the head of the Strategic Research Centre at the Expediency Council, has said Iran will not recognize Israel because it is a ‘usurper entity’.
An Iranian news agency on Wednesday reported Velayati as saying that “Iran believes Israel has stolen the Palestinians’ land”.

Velayati said Imam Khamenie has stressed on the need to confront Israel, and had ordered to cut ties with Egypt in the aftermath of it signing the Camp David agreement with Israel.
On Friday, Iran will commemorate the International Day for the Holy City of Jerusalem which falls on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
