The Israeli occupation authorities have imposed a total closure on Gaza and the West Bank during Jewish holidays which will take place from Saturday to Wednesday.

Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank will not be allowed to enter Israel including Jerusalem during this time except for humanitarian cases.

The Israeli government work coordinator in the Occupied Territories should approve any case to be allowed into Israel during this period.

As a result, the only commercial crossing connecting Gaza with Israel will be shut down too, which will affect supplies needed by Palestinians, including fuel.

Israel shuts down its crossings with Palestinians during Jewish holidays, creating further hardships for Palestinians.

Palestinians believe that celebrating Jewish holidays should not be at their expense and urge Israel to stop this form of collective punishment.
