The Israeli authorities have denied Jordanian artist, Mitib Alsaqqar, entry into the West Bank due to his revolutionary songs, which oppose the Israeli occupation.

Alsaqqar was meant to perform and sing in the Palestinian city of Al-Khalil (Hebron).

Alsaqqar said he was informed about the Israeli refusal to grant him entry into the West Bank through the coordinators of his concert. Alsaqqar cited his revolutionary songs which glorify the Palestinian struggle for freedom behind the decision.

Alsaqqar stressed that he refuses to apply for a visa from the Israeli Embassy in Jordan because he is “against all forms of normalization with the Israeli occupation.”
