Israeli Warplanes Bombard Gaza Strip

Amid international efforts to return Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA) to direct talks, Israeli warplanes have once again bombed Palestinian targets.

The fighter jets bombarded an area near the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip on Thursday, Maan news agency reported.

The airstrike left several Palestinians injured, according to the report.

Israeli fighter jets carried out similar attacks on the same region on Saturday night.

Earlier on Thursday, Israeli forces attacked Palestinians after an Israeli settler attacked a Palestinian family, injuring two children and one old woman.

The direct negotiations between Israel and the PA began in early September after a 20-month break, but the talks were stopped after Israel refused to extend its partial freeze on its illegal settlement activities.
