Knesset Dismisses Zoabi after She Accused Israel of Executing Palestinians

Hanin Zoabi

The Israeli Knesset has dismissed Arab MK Hanin Zoabi from a meeting of the education committee after he accused the Israeli occupation of killing Palestinians, Palestinian Safa news agency reported on Wednesday.

“The Israeli occupation is the centre of terrorism, and killers of Palestinian children must be brought to the ICC,” Zoabi said.

During the meeting, she added: “The Israeli occupation army hunts Palestinian minors and kill them,” citing a number of children who had been killed in recent weeks.

As security officers approached her to take her out from the meeting, Zoabi said that “the ICC in The Hague prosecutes criminals over such crimes.”

She also spoke about Israeli army snipers and the practice of pointing rifles at the heads of civilians, such as the incident in Al-Issawiyeh early this week.
