Khalid Meshaal, the Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas’, said yesterday in that his movement has no enemies outside Palestine and it “Seeks to fight the Israeli occupation only.”

Meshaal’s remarks were made during his mother’s funeral in the Jordanian Capital of Amman He stressed the strength of the relationship between Hamas and Jordan and that his movement has honesty and care towards Jordan’s security, a feeling which is mutual.

He added, “Hamas believes that Jordan is Palestine and Palestine is Jordan,” noting the unity of the countries.

“Hamas will not be a burden to any party and its battle is in Palestine only. The imbalance of powers made some leaders make the wrong decisions that will waste the Palestinian cause,” he said.

He warned against plots against the Palestinian cause, which targets its lands, people, unity, Al-Aqsa Mosque, the siege of Gaza, and reaching resolutions at the expense of Palestine and Jordan – which his movement will not accept.

Meshaal thanked the government and King of Jordan for allowing him to attend the burial of his mother.
