“Israel is unable to defeat Gaza despite its military supremacy,” Al-Resalah newspaper reported the head of Hamas’ political bureau saying yesterday.
In a televised speech aired in a mosque in the eastern Gaza neighbourhood of Al-Shuja’iyya, Khaled Meshaal stressed that Gaza had “become a strong defence barrier that destroys all conspiracies.”

He hailed the sacrifices of Jerusalem’s residents who face the “Israeli plans to desecrate the holy city and Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
He also hailed the sacrifices of Al- Shujaiyya’s residents, saying: “The Gaza Strip has sacrificed so much ahead of ending the occupation and liberating prisoners.”
