The Palestinian Embassy in Cairo has announced today that the Egyptian authorities will open the Rafah crossing for four days, starting Wednesday, 29 June, 2016.

The crossing will operate on Wednesday, Thursday, shut down on Friday and re-open on Saturday and Sunday.

The Egyptian authorities opened the Rafah crossing earlier this month for four days, allowing 3142 Palestinians to leave the Gaza Strip, mainly those needing medical treatment , and students.

Some 30,000 Palestinians are registered to travel. Many more students and patients hope to travel through the crossing.
