US, Israel Hold War Game in Germany

The United States and Israel have staged a joint aerial war game in Germany, using live ammunition in their first such maneuver in the German soil.

US military choppers joined Israeli Apache attack helicopters last week in the drills which were held in southern Germany, Israel radio reported on its website on Monday.

The allies held a three-week war game in Israel in October to become the largest of their joint exercises.

The exercise, codenamed Juniper Cobra 10, focused on US and Israeli missile systems and involved some 1,000 US military personnel and a similar number of Israeli troops, as well as 17 American radar-mounted warships.

The drill was viewed as Tel Aviv’s flex of muscles before its regional foes and a sign of Washington’s support for the Tel Aviv regime despite the US administration’s push for peace talks with Palestinians.
