Families of Palestinian prisoners from Jerusalem in Israeli jails organized a sit-in in front of the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to protest a decision made by the committee to limit family visits to prisoners.

The Prisoners Media Office quoted sources in Jerusalem as saying, “Activists have called for a sit-in in front of the ICRC in solidarity with Palestinian hunger-strikers and to refuse the decision made by the ICRC to reduce the number of family visits for Palestinian prisoners.”

The sit-in took place at 5pm today in front of the ICRC.

The ICRC has reduced family visits from twice a month to once only.
