Over 50 Palestinians, including aid seekers and medics, were killed by Israeli forces across Gaza on Tuesday, as UN agencies warn of an imminent humanitarian collapse.

At least 52 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli occupation forces across various parts of the Gaza Strip since dawn on Tuesday. Among them, 20 were killed while waiting for aid near the Netzarim junction, south of Gaza City.

Al-Quds Hospital reported that over 124 people were wounded in the same area as they waited for food assistance.

Meanwhile, the Gaza Medical Services Directorate confirmed that three paramedics were killed by Israeli forces while carrying out their humanitarian duties in the Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City.

In southern Gaza, a source at the Nasser Medical Complex said three members of the same family were killed when Israeli forces bombed a tent sheltering displaced civilians in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis.

Al-Jazeera’s correspondent also reported that Israeli airstrikes targeted residential homes in the Batn al-Samin neighborhood of Khan Yunis.

West of Rafah, more than 30 civilians were injured when Israeli drones opened fire—using both bombs and live ammunition—on crowds gathered near an aid distribution center.

In the north, Al-Shifa Hospital confirmed the recovery of nine bodies from under the rubble following Israeli airstrikes on homes in Jabaliya al-Balad.

“Death Traps”

According to the Government Media Office in Gaza, the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has contributed to the deaths of more than 130 civilians—killed by direct fire while attempting to reach food parcels at what it described as “checkpoints of humiliation and oppression.”

Nearly 1,000 others have been injured in just two weeks of the Foundation’s operations.

The Office accused the Foundation of spreading false claims that Palestinian resistance groups are threatening its workers and obstructing aid deliveries. It stressed that any entity implementing military agendas under the guise of humanitarian work cannot be considered a relief organization.

A representative of the Gaza Medical Relief Society told Al-Jazeera that these aid centers have become “death traps,” with civilians being killed on a daily basis.

He noted that injuries occurring near these centers are often fatal, while the food being distributed is minimal and wholly insufficient. Many people, he added, have collapsed in the streets from extreme hunger.

Humanitarian Collapse

In a related development, Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesman for the UN Secretary-General, warned that the UN’s relief efforts in Gaza risk shutting down completely if Israeli authorities continue to block access to fuel. He also noted that around 260,000 liters of fuel were looted in northern Gaza over the weekend.

The Government Media Office stated that by cutting off food and aid, Israel—backed by the United States—is deliberately starving the population in a bid to force their displacement. The closure of humanitarian crossings has pushed 2.2 million Palestinians toward the brink of famine.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has carried out a genocidal campaign in Gaza, marked by mass killings, starvation, destruction, and displacement. This has continued in defiance of international appeals and binding orders from the International Court of Justice to stop the assault.

The ongoing genocide has left more than 181,000 Palestinians killed or wounded—most of them women and children. Over 14,000 remain missing, hundreds of thousands have been displaced, and famine continues to claim lives, particularly among children, against a backdrop of widespread devastation.
