2 Palestinians Killed near Bethlehem After Alleged Stab Attack on Soldier

Two Palestinians were shot and killed in the Gush Etzion settlement bloc south of Bethlehem on Tuesday after allegedly stabbing an Israeli soldier, Israel’s army said.

A 19-year-old Israeli soldier was moderately wounded after being stabbed in the upper body, Israel’s army said, with the victim taken to a hospital in Jerusalem for treatment.

An Israeli police spokesperson said two “terrorists” stabbed an Israeli man before being shot at the scene, without providing further details.

The incident took place at a hitch-hiking spot used by Israeli settlers and soldiers.
