The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club has said that some 50 Palestinian prisoners belonging to the Islamic Jihad Movement and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in various Israeli jails have yesterday launched an open-ended mass hunger strike.

Their actions are in support of hunger striking brothers, Mohammed and Mahmoud Balboul, and Malik Al-Qadi.

The Prisoners’ Club said the hunger strike would include other groups in the future from Rimon, Nafha, Ofer and Negev prisons.

The three hunger strikers are are in very critical health conditions following more than two months of hunger strikes.

The three hunger strikers started an open-ended hunger strike to protest their detention without a trial or charge in Israeli jails.
