Israel Arrests American Man Planning anti-Muslim Attacks

A US man has been arrested in Israel on suspicion of preparing attacks on Palestinian Muslims, Israeli police said Tuesday.

“Shin Bet (internal security) and police arrested an American citizen on November 19 who was illegally in Israel, for possession of weapons and planning terrorist attacks,” a statement said.

Israeli media said that the suspect, named as Adam Everett Livvix, 30, from Texas, lived in both Hebron and Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank in 2013.

He then entered Israel and remained there for 18 months. He was arrested and had possession of weapons and explosives that were stolen from Israel’s military, Haaretz reported.

The suspect also reportedly asked his Israeli roommate, a soldier, to buy him weapons and was brought a 1.4 kilogram explosive device.
