The Palestine Today reported that the Israeli Knesset is today expected to pass the second and third drafts of a resolution that allows for the banning of Members of Knesset (MKs) who “call for hatred and support military operations in Israel.”

The legislation asks for the support of 90 MKs for the resolution to be approved.

According to the Hebrew radio, the Knesset is not allowed for to ban MKs during the general elections.

Palestinians in Israel believe that the legislation is aimed at suspending any Palestinian MK who criticizes Israel for its continuing occupation and its treatment of Palestinians in Israel as second-class citizens.
