US MEDIA: Citing US officials, the Wall Street Journal reports that Israel gave Washington a heads-up just minutes before launching an attack on Qatar, though it did not specify the exact target.

According to US officials cited by The Wall Street Journal, Israel notified Washington just minutes before carrying out an attack on Qatar. However, the report states that Israel did not reveal the precise location of the strike.

US officials reportedly witnessed the missiles being launched and deduced the target from the launch. The commander of US Central Command learned of the attack while en route to Cairo.

TRUMP: President Donald Trump distanced himself from Israel’s strike on Qatar, saying the decision was made by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, not by him. Trump said he had directed Secretary of State Marco Rubio to finalize a defense cooperation agreement with Qatar, describing the strike as unilateral, reckless, and counter to US and Israeli interests.

AXIOS: Axios reported, citing a source, that Israel’s strike in Doha shocked the White House and angered senior Trump advisers. They were frustrated because Hamas leaders were meeting to discuss Trump’s proposal, and Washington had been expecting a response by the end of the week.

AL-JAZEERA: Qatar’s prime minister and foreign minister described the Israeli strike as state terrorism and a blatant assault on sovereignty. He said Doha would not tolerate any breach of its security and retained the right to respond firmly. The group added that Israelis are demanding an end to the war.
