US Launches New Strikes across Southern Iran
The United States carried out a fresh wave of airstrikes against Iran early Thursday, marking the twelfth consecutive night of attacks, while the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced retaliatory drone operations against American military facilities in Kuwait and Jordan.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the operation, saying American forces had launched additional strikes against Iranian military targets “at the Commander in Chief’s direction.”
“The mission will continue to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting regional waters,” CENTCOM said.
Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Tehran reported that the provinces of Hormozgan, Bushehr, and Khuzestan came under renewed US attack.
The United States continued to launch large-scale airstrikes against Iran overnight.
In addition to several cities, a border crossing point with Iraq was attacked, and numerous civilian casualties have been reported.

Multiple Provinces Hit
Iranian media reported explosions in several locations across southern Iran.
According to Fars News Agency, two explosions were heard near the city of Bushehr, while Iranian television reported additional blasts near the village of Ziarat and the Bamani area in Sirik, Hormozgan Province.
Further explosions were reported at the Port of Sirik and in the Ramshir area of Khuzestan Province.
Mehr News Agency quoted a security official as saying a US strike targeted an area near the passenger terminal at the Shalamcheh border crossing with Iraq.
Khuzestan’s deputy governor for security affairs later announced that two people were killed and 11 others injured in the attack on the crossing.
Additional strikes reportedly targeted a military site in Bushehr and the city of Islamabad in Kermanshah Province.
The governor of Bushehr said another area of the province had also come under attack, adding that no casualties had initially been reported there.
Casualties Continue to Rise
Iran’s Health Ministry said Wednesday that the latest phase of US attacks has killed 53 people and wounded 592 others.
Health Ministry spokesperson Hossein Kermanpour said the casualties include six women and three people under the age of 18 among those killed, while 39 women and 23 minors were among the wounded.
According to the ministry, 535 injured people have been discharged from hospitals, 36 remain hospitalized, and another 21 received treatment at the scene.
Iranian authorities said the strikes have increasingly targeted ports, coastal observation towers, transportation infrastructure, and other civilian facilities.

IRGC Announces Regional Retaliation
In response, the IRGC announced a new series of drone strikes targeting US military installations in Kuwait and Jordan.
According to the Guard, attacks struck Ali Al Salem Air Base, Al Udairi Camp, Camp Doha, and Camp Arifjan in Kuwait.
The IRGC said the operations destroyed strategic fuel reserves, major ammunition depots, helicopter maintenance facilities, MQ-9 drone infrastructure, Patriot missile batteries, a THAAD radar unit, C-RAM systems, communications infrastructure, and logistics facilities supporting US forces.
The statement also said troop quarters were struck, resulting in deaths and injuries among US personnel.
Separately, the IRGC announced attacks against US military facilities in Jordan, saying the strikes destroyed a THAAD radar, Patriot air-defense systems, C-RAM radar equipment, fuel tanks, and helicopter maintenance facilities.
Message to Kuwait and Jordan
Addressing the Kuwaiti people, the IRGC rejected accusations that its operations violated Kuwait’s sovereignty.
Instead, it argued that US military bases themselves represent a violation of the sovereignty of host countries.
“We are attacking territories occupied by US forces,” the statement said, adding that it is the United States—not Iran—that violates the independence and territorial integrity of countries hosting American bases.
In a separate statement addressed to Jordanians, the IRGC said its operations were carried out in response to repeated US attacks on Iranian territory.
“It is our legal, religious, and logical right to target the aggressor against our country and the killer of our children wherever it launches its attacks,” the Guard said.
The statement referred to the deaths of students in Minab during earlier US attacks, saying the strikes formed part of Iran’s continuing response to the killing of civilians.

Iranian Army Reports Separate Drone Operations
Separately, the Iranian Army announced the twenty-third phase of Operation Saegheh, saying it launched suicide drones against additional US military targets.
According to the army, the attacks struck ammunition and logistics depots at Al Udeid Air Base, fuel storage facilities at Ali Al Salem Air Base, and an ammunition depot at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait.
The latest exchanges come amid the continued escalation of the US war on Iran following the collapse of the June 18 memorandum of understanding, which had temporarily halted hostilities that began after the US-Israeli attacks on February 28.
Since July 8, US forces have carried out repeated strikes on targets across Iran, while Washington says the operations are intended to protect commercial navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran maintains that shipping remains permitted through designated routes under its maritime regulations and says it has targeted only vessels that fail to comply with those procedures.
Iranian officials have repeatedly warned that retaliatory operations against US military facilities will continue as long as American attacks persist.
