China has endorsed the New York Declaration, a UN-backed roadmap toward Palestinian statehood, reaffirming its support for ending the Gaza war, easing the humanitarian crisis, and advancing the two-state solution.

China has formally signaled its support for the New York Declaration, reaffirming its longstanding commitment to resolving the Palestinian issue through diplomacy.

At a daily press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jianchun emphasized that “the Palestinian question occupies a central place among Middle East challenges,” adding that it now stands at a pivotal moment.

He declared that Beijing “supports all efforts conducive to a political settlement,” pledging to work with the international community toward ending hostilities in Gaza, easing the humanitarian crisis, advancing the two-state solution, and achieving a fair, lasting, and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue.

The New York Declaration was adopted at a high-level United Nations conference held in late July 2025 in New York, co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia. It lays out a 15-month roadmap for establishing a demilitarized, sovereign Palestinian state alongside Israel.

The plan envisions the transfer of authority in the occupied territories to the Palestinian Authority under the principle of “one government, one law, one gun,” while a temporary UN peacekeeping mission would ensure stability during the transition. It also calls for full international recognition of the Palestinian state and stresses that peace cannot be achieved by military means alone.

A 19-member follow-up committee, co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, was established to monitor implementation and ensure accountability.

By joining the declaration, Beijing not only reaffirms its traditional support for Palestinian statehood within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, but also aligns itself with an international effort to transform the political landscape of the conflict at a moment of unprecedented humanitarian and political crisis.

  1. wow, a 15-month ‘roadmap’ to smaller concentration camps… who would have thought of that!?
China has nothing to lose and everything to gain as Israel sucks the life out of the US, money, weapons, sanity.
Also, a great idea for Taiwan – another 100-year roadmap to nowhere. take that, US!

  2. “demilitarized” in the face of genocide? Israel is committing genocide as I write – if we go by historical precedence, such as the Third Reich, Israel is the one required to give up its army.

    • I agree! “one government, one law, one gun,” — PA is not a government, it’s an indigenous Zionist collaborator force. Hamas one the last vote (both Gaza & West Bank!) Hamas is that government! “demilitarized” — the Zionist regime must be demilitarized, rid of nuclear weapons. Then Palestine can discuss “demilitarized” (or not)!
