UPDATE: Israeli police announced that they had located the ousted Military Advocate General, Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, who had been missing since the morning amid fears for her life and speculation that she may have attempted suicide.
Israeli police and the army launched an extensive search on Sunday for former Military Advocate-General Maj. Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, after her family reported her missing earlier in the day, Israeli media reported.
According to reports, her car was later discovered near Hatzuk Beach in northern Tel Aviv, where police and Israeli military units continued to comb the area into the evening. A letter was reportedly found near the vehicle.
The Israeli army said it was using “all available resources” to locate Tomer-Yerushalmi, who has not been in contact with anyone since Sunday morning.
The disappearance comes two days after her resignation, which followed Defense Minister Israel Katz’s announcement of her dismissal amid allegations related to the leak of a video showing the torture and sexual assault of a Palestinian detainee at the Sde Teiman prison.
Israeli Army’s Top Legal Officer Dismissed after Leak of Sde Teiman Torture Footage
Tomer-Yerushalmi resigned on Friday after admitting she had authorized the release of evidence to the media concerning abuses at Sde Teiman, a facility long accused of torture and extrajudicial killings of Palestinian detainees.
The leaked video, aired by Channel 12 in August 2024, showed soldiers sexually assaulting a Palestinian prisoner who later died of his injuries.
In her resignation letter, Tomer-Yerushalmi said she had approved the leak to “counter false propaganda” against military law enforcement officials and accepted full responsibility for the decision.
Israeli Defense Minister Katz accused her of contributing to a “blood libel” against Israeli soldiers and declared she would not return to her post, citing “the severity of the suspicions” and the sensitivity of her role.
However, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that investigators have no evidence she personally leaked the footage; rather, her subordinates may have done so with her prior knowledge.

Five soldiers implicated in the abuse were charged but remain free.
According to the Jerusalem Post, Tomer-Yerushalmi’s resignation could have significant repercussions for Israel’s defense in international legal forums, as she previously oversaw the army’s coordination with the International Criminal Court and International Court of Justice.
Human rights organizations, including Amnesty International, B’Tselem, and the UN Human Rights Office, have repeatedly documented systematic torture and sexual violence against Palestinians in Israeli detention centers, describing Sde Teiman as a “sadistic torture camp” where many detainees “entered alive and left in body bags.”

‘IDF’=ITF-Israeli TERROR Forces conducting Crimes Against Humanity 24/7/365 for over 7 decades! One demonic-EVIL Entity!!
Israeli police and the army will “discover” Tomer-Yerushalmi’s body, brutally raped, and tortured to death. Naturally, they blame Hamas (New York Times, Washing Post, CNN, etc. with the same head line, over & over). Until a Tik Tok appears showing the entirely brutal “show” with laughing and “like’s”, millions of Nazi Zionists approve. Right to Rape, it’s Kosher now.
The state of Israel, built on myths and falsities repeated over a century according to Shlomo Sand, the Jewish academic, and supplemented in the works of Illan Pappe’, Norman Finkelstein and Jeffrey Sachs (all of whom are Jewish scholars of repute) understands just one language. That is force. In its expansionist agenda, and heinous war crimes and crimes against humanity committed as the norm, the overwhelming consideration has always been violent force, not diplomacy or decent negotiation or building of trust through sincerity. The only way to dismantle this system is to respond in the language it understands.
