Israeli strikes continued across Gaza, killing a woman in the north and striking multiple areas despite a declared truce.

Key Developments

  • A 27-year-old Palestinian woman was shot and killed by Israeli occupation forces in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza.
  • Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes in Rafah and eastern Gaza City.
  • Artillery shelling and naval fire targeted eastern Khan Younis and southern areas.
  • Gaza’s Health Ministry reports over 600 Palestinians killed since the ceasefire began.
  • Residential neighborhoods sustained additional damage amid repeated ceasefire violations.

Fatal Shooting

A young Palestinian woman was killed by Israeli army gunfire in the town of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, further underscoring the fragility — and effective collapse — of the declared ceasefire.

27-year-old Basma Aram Banat was shot by Israeli occupation forces and succumbed to her wounds approximately two hours later, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

The agency cited medical sources confirming her death and noted that the incident adds to the growing number of Palestinians killed since the truce came into effect.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the number of Palestinians killed following the ceasefire’s implementation has surpassed 600, with well over 1,600 others injured.

The continued fatalities highlight what Palestinian officials describe as systematic violations of the truce by Israeli forces operating in multiple parts of the Strip.

The killing in Beit Lahia occurred amid ongoing military movements and gunfire in northern areas, where residents have reported repeated shooting incidents targeting civilians attempting to move through or assess damage in previously bombarded zones.

Airstrikes and Artillery Shelling

While the ceasefire remains formally in place, Israeli strikes have continued in both southern and central Gaza.

Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes targeting eastern Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, as well as areas east of Gaza City, according to the Anadolu news agency. The strikes were accompanied by artillery shelling, particularly in eastern Khan Yunis, where explosions were heard throughout the night and into the early morning hours.

Eyewitnesses cited by Anadolu described sustained bombardment despite the declared truce. Naval gunfire was also reported off Gaza’s coastline, targeting areas near the shore.

Violations have been documented daily since the truce was announced, raising concerns that the agreement exists largely in name rather than in practice.

  1. Who would shoot a woman? Who would shoot a child?…….
    only an Israeli Jewish Nazi.
or anyone else who was paid off by my shady, corrupt US government, using our tax money to kill people.

  2. shot, bombing from the air, ground artillery (often, shelling from ships): a rabid, fascist, messianic, regime, death cult, dehumanised everything (Muslims, Christians, Palestinians, Arabs, including Jews), including destroying Australian, Canadians, and Americans graves “fighting” for “Israel”. But the ruling class & media complex in Britian, France, Germany, US, and Australia, and Canada all “strong support Israel”. Because Russia’s fault. China’s fault – check that – China is ok.
