‘Absolutely Unrelated’
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Saturday denied any involvement in the reported attack on the US embassy in Riyadh, distancing Iran’s armed forces from the incident.
In a statement cited by Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC said the attack was “absolutely unrelated” to the Iranian military and emphasized that its operations are conducted according to clearly defined targets.
The statement stressed that Iran had previously outlined its list of military objectives and had issued warnings to neighboring and Muslim countries regarding escalating tensions in the region.
Al Mayadeen similarly reported that the IRGC’s public relations office rejected any connection to the attack, reiterating that Iranian operations are limited to US military bases and Israeli security and military sites.

Iran Accuses Israel of ‘Sedition’ Strategy
The IRGC attributed the attack to Israel, arguing that it aligns with what it described as a broader strategy aimed at destabilizing the region.
According to Tasnim, the IRGC said that, given the “strategy of the Zionist enemy,” the attack on the US embassy was “certainly” carried out by Israel.
Al Mayadeen reported that Iranian officials framed the incident as part of an effort by an American-Israeli alignment to incite unrest and expand the scope of conflict across West Asia.
The IRGC called on regional countries to remain vigilant, warning of attempts to “stir sedition” and destabilize the region.
Tehran Reaffirms Scope of Its Military Response
Iranian officials reiterated that their military operations are directed exclusively at US and Israeli targets, rejecting claims that Tehran is targeting neighboring countries.
The IRGC emphasized that its strikes are part of a broader response to ongoing US-Israeli military operations against Iran, which it said have targeted both military and civilian infrastructure.
Al Mayadeen reported that Iran has previously condemned attacks on civilian infrastructure in the region, including water desalination facilities in Kuwait, and maintains that it does not seek confrontation with neighboring states.
Tehran has repeatedly framed its military campaign as a retaliatory effort, targeting US bases and Israeli-linked military infrastructure across the region while asserting its commitment to regional security.
