Dozens of Palestinians were killed and injured on Thursday in an Israeli bombardment targeting Salah al-Din Street, south of Gaza City.

The displaced Palestinians were walking on foot trying to flee the ground Israeli offensive in Gaza City.

WAFA correspondent reported that the victims, primarily children, women, and the elderly, were rushed to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah following the devastating airstrike.

Israeli occupation forces also detained two ambulance drivers while they were returning from the southern part of the Gaza Strip to the north.

Despite coordinating through the International Committee of the Red Cross, which had informed them of being allowed to return to northern Gaza, the drivers were arrested by the Israeli occupation army.

The ambulances had been stuck in the south after transporting wounded individuals to the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.

Israel has, thus far, killed over 11,078 – including 4,506 children and 3,027 women – and wounded 27,409. Palestinian Ministry of Health reports and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.
