Israeli warplanes carried out a series of air raids across southern and eastern Lebanon, as Israel claimed to be targeting Hezbollah sites amid heightened tensions following recent developments south of the Litani River.
The Israeli occupation army carried out a series of air raids across multiple areas in Lebanon, as its spokesperson Avichay Adraee claimed that the strikes were targeting what he described as Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon.
Adraee said the attacks hit “infrastructure, a production facility, weapons depots, and missile platforms” allegedly belonging to Hezbollah’s artillery unit. He added that the targets included launch sites, missile platforms, and additional military structures used by the group.
According to Al-Jazeera’s correspondent in Lebanon, the raids struck the outskirts of Kfarfila, Roumine, and the heights of Mount Rihan. Israeli warplanes also targeted mountainous areas surrounding Brital and Al Shaara, as well as Wadi Qalya and the Al Jabbour region in eastern Lebanon.

Al-Jazeera reported that air raids on south Lebanon are ongoing, particularly in the eastern sector and other areas where exact strike locations remain difficult to determine due to poor visibility. She noted that the sounds of large explosions continue to be heard across the south, while Israeli warplanes are flying at very low altitudes.
The report added that the escalation comes amid new Israeli threats that did not specify the intended targets.
The strikes—many of which were concentrated north of the Litani River—appear linked to recent developments following announcements by the Lebanese government and army that the first phase of an agreement to restrict weapons to the Lebanese state south of the Litani River had been completed, with the exception of seven sites still occupied by Israel.

According to the report, the Israeli occupation army identified four sites to be bombed in south Lebanon and also carried out strikes without prior warning, in addition to targeting vehicles and buildings, conducting ground incursions, and demolishing homes.
At dawn, an Israeli occupation force reportedly advanced more than 1,500 meters into the town of Yaroun, where it destroyed a building in the Al-Bayader neighborhood.
