Israeli occupation forces wounded one Palestinian and detained six others during raids across several West Bank cities, including Ramallah, Al-Bireh, and Nablus.

Israeli occupation forces wounded one Palestinian on Tuesday and arrested six others during raids in the cities of Al-Bireh and Ramallah, according to local sources.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its crews treated an elderly man who was shot in the back with live ammunition during an Israeli military raid on Jerusalem Street near the Amari refugee camp.

Later that night, Israeli occupation forces stormed several areas across the West Bank, including the town of Tuqu’ southeast of Bethlehem. They also fired sound bombs and tear gas during a raid on Al-Arroub refugee camp north of Hebron (Al-Khalil).

In Nablus, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that large Israeli military forces, accompanied by a bulldozer, entered the city’s eastern area via the Awarta, Huwara, and Beit Furik checkpoints. The incursion was carried out ahead of an anticipated settler storming of Joseph’s Tomb for Talmudic prayers.

Israeli soldiers forced residents to evacuate two buildings in the Al-Dahia and Amman Street areas, converting them into military observation posts.

Joseph’s Tomb is located on the eastern outskirts of Nablus, an area under Palestinian control, and has been designated a Jewish religious site since Israel occupied the West Bank in 1967.

Since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, more than 1,103 Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers. Nearly 11,000 others have been injured, and more than 21,000 have been arrested.
