Hezbollah’s military media publishes footage highlighting past explosive operations as Israeli outlets acknowledge attacks on forces in southern Lebanon

‘It Has Indeed Returned’
The military media of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Hezbollah, released a new video on Tuesday titled “The Nightmare Is Back… It Has Indeed Returned,” revisiting explosive operations that previously targeted Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.
The footage highlights the use of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), described as a “nightmare” for Israeli units operating in the occupied security zone in southern Lebanon.
The video includes scenes of Israeli soldiers being targeted in ambushes carried out by the resistance in 1982, 1996, and 1997, including the Ansariya operation.
The reference is to the Ansariya operation when, in 1997, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon ambushed an Israeli naval commando unit after it infiltrated southern Lebanon.
A series of pre-planted explosive devices were detonated, killing 12 Israeli soldiers in a major blow to Israeli forces during the occupation of Lebanon.
Hezbollah said such operations contributed to the attrition of Israeli forces and their local collaborators, paving the way for Israel’s withdrawal from southern Lebanon in May 2000.
The release follows a recent operation in which the resistance targeted a convoy of eight Israeli armored vehicles in southern Lebanon.
According to resistance media, a pre-planted explosive device detonated as the convoy moved from the town of Taybeh toward the “old Salha” position near Deir Seryan.
Two Attacks
Israeli media acknowledged that two incidents took place along the northern border on Tuesday.
According to Israeli Channel 14, rockets were fired toward Israeli forces in the southern Lebanese town of Rab Thalathin.
At the same time, sirens were activated in the settlements of Kfar Yuval and Maayan Baruch in the Upper Galilee.
Israeli Army Radio reported that air defenses were also activated in an attempt to intercept a drone launched toward the north.
Ceasefire Violations
The developments come a day after a ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel entered into force at midnight Thursday-Friday, set to last 10 days.
Despite the agreement, Israeli forces have continued violations across several Lebanese towns.
Reports indicated explosions in Khiam, Bint Jbeil, Aitaroun, Rashaf, and Shamaa, alongside artillery shelling targeting other areas.
On Monday, Hezbollah announced a “qualitative operation” targeting an Israeli military convoy in southern Lebanon, following what it described as repeated and documented Israeli violations of the ceasefire.
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem had earlier stated that “the hands of the resistance remain on the trigger,” stressing that there is “no trust in the enemy.”
