A settler was killed and others injured in an operation near the illegal Gush Etzion settlement, followed by Israeli forces killing the suspected Palestinians and locking down surrounding areas.
An illegal Israeli settler was killed and three others were wounded on Tuesday in a car-ramming and stabbing operation near an illegal settlement in the occupied West Bank, according to media reports.

Israeli media reported that three Palestinians who carried out the operation near the Gush Etzion junction south of Bethlehem were killed, according to Al-Jazeera. The Times of Israel reported that two attackers were involved and were shot dead by Israeli soldiers at the scene.
The Anadolu news agency cited Israel’s public broadcaster KAN as saying that the attackers, armed with knives, drove their car into pedestrians near the settlement, with one getting out and stabbing settlers.
Palestinian Towns Cordoned Off
Israeli Channel 12 network reported that the army imposed a military cordon on Palestinian towns and villages near the site of the operation.
Israeli Army Radio clarified that the attack was a combined stabbing and shooting attempt, and that details were still being investigated. It also said that the army had imposed a military cordon on nearby Palestinian towns and villages.

According to the Times of Israel, one of those injured is a 55-year-old woman who was “apparently mistakenly hit by Israeli troops’ gunfire.”
There has been no claim of responsibility for the operation.
The West Bank has witnessed an escalation of violence by Israeli occupation forces and illegal Jewish ysettlers, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,073 Palestinians and injuries to approximately 10,700, since October 7, 2023.
