The Al-Qassam Brigades have released new footage of their fighters engaging Israeli forces in the Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City. The video shows fighters using anti-armor weapons and explosives to target military vehicles and troops.
The military wing of Hamas, the Al-Qassam Brigades, released a video today documenting its fighters confronting Israeli occupation forces in the Zaytoun neighborhood. The footage, part of a series of operations called “Stones of David,” shows fighters precisely monitoring two houses where Israeli special forces were fortified before approaching them.
The video also shows:
A troop carrier being targeted with a “Yassin 105” shell, which exploded inside the driver’s cabin, followed by an attack on reinforcements.
A Merkava tank being hit with an anti-tank shell near the Dolah intersection in Zaytoun.
The planting and detonation of explosive devices on advancing military vehicles, and then their removal after being destroyed.
The video also showed a commander from a Hamas elite unit delivering a message in response to escalating Israeli threats against Gaza, stating, “We are here, in front of you and behind you. Only what God wills will happen in the dominion of God.”
He also addressed Al-Qassam fighters, saying, “Some responsibilities are a divine selection, and God only uses those who are pure for His cause. The battle is difficult, but God only gives the hardest battles to His strongest soldiers, so proceed with God’s blessing.”
Earlier today, the group also released footage of two explosive devices being detonated on a military bulldozer and a group of Israeli soldiers in Jabaliya refugee camp, followed by a mortar attack on the area.

Additional Resistance Operations
The Al-Qassam Brigades had previously announced on August 14 that they carried out a complex ambush targeting an Israeli force in the Al-Bar’asi land in the Zaytoun neighborhood. According to their statement, fighters:
Targeted an Israeli force fortified in a house with a ‘Tandem’ shell and fired machine guns at a sniper positioned in another house.
Targeted two Israeli troop carriers with explosive devices placed inside the driver’s cabins.
Hit another “Nimr” troop carrier with a “Yassin 105” shell.
During their withdrawal, Al-Qassam fighters also hit two houses where Israeli soldiers were hiding with “Tandem” and “Yassin 105” shells, claiming to have killed and wounded Israeli soldiers.
In other developments:
The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad, announced they shelled an Israeli command and control center inside the Al-Furqan School in southeastern Zaytoub.
The group also seized an Israeli reconnaissance drone in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades reported shelling an Israeli command and control center north of Khan Yunis with 107 rockets and mortar shells.
The Israeli military began a wide-scale offensive on the Zaytoun neighborhood on August 11, which included demolishing homes with explosive robots, artillery shelling, random gunfire, and forced displacement.
Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza have consistently documented their operations against Israeli forces since the start of the ground offensive on October 27, 2023. These operations include successful ambushes that have inflicted significant casualties on Israeli troops, as well as the destruction of hundreds of military vehicles and the firing of mid- and long-range rockets at Israeli cities and settlements.
