Settler attacks and Israeli military raids spread across the occupied West Bank on Saturday, damaging farmland and injuring civilians amid a sharp escalation in violence.

Illegal Israeli Jewish settlers carried out a series of coordinated attacks on Saturday across several areas of the occupied West Bank, alongside military raids by Israeli forces that left multiple Palestinians injured in Jericho, Nablus, and Hebron (Al-Khalil).

According to the Al-Baydar human rights organization, illegal settlers released livestock onto Palestinian-owned agricultural land east of Sa’ir, north of Hebron, causing extensive damage to farmland vital for local harvests and grazing.

In the Masafer Yatta region, settlers blocked farmers from plowing fields in Wadi Ma’in and confiscated seeds designated for the current planting season.

Further south, in the village of Kisan near Bethlehem, illegal Israeli Jewish settlers stormed the area and again released livestock onto cultivated land.

Al-Baydar also documented settlers restricting the movement of shepherds in the Al-Hathroura Bedouin community near Khan al-Ahmar and preventing access to grazing areas. In Mikhmas, southeast of Jerusalem, olive groves suffered major damage after settlers released cattle into the farms.

In the northern West Bank, Jewish settlers stormed the Al-Shajara community east of Duma, south of Nablus. The organization warned that such incidents reflect ongoing efforts to impose new settlement realities in rural Palestinian areas. The government’s Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission recorded 621 settler attacks in November alone.

Raids and Assaults

Separately, Israeli occupation forces assaulted three Palestinian youths at a military checkpoint near the Ma’ale Efraim settlement in Jericho, according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA. The three were transferred to the hospital for treatment.

Jenin and surrounding towns experienced multiple raids involving home searches and the temporary detention of young men.

Israeli occupation forces also entered Dura, west of Hebron, firing live ammunition, tear gas, and sound grenades.

In Madma, south of Nablus, a 20-day-old infant suffered tear gas inhalation during a raid, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported.

Another Israeli force stormed the village of Al-Mughayyir near Ramallah, where soldiers spread throughout residential areas and forcibly shut down local shops, according to Al-Jazeera.

This escalation comes amid sustained tension in the West Bank since the start of the Gaza war on October 7, 2023.

According to official Palestinian figures, 1,088 Palestinians have been killed, around 11,000 injured, and more than 21,000 arrested in the West Bank over the past two years, as concerns mount over further deterioration with continued military operations and settler violence.
