The Hind Rajab Foundation has urged Czech authorities to open an investigation, impose a travel ban or arrest Tsourieli, and seize his electronic devices to secure evidence, emphasizing that Europe should not serve as a safe haven for perpetrators.

The Hind Rajab Foundation announced that it has filed a criminal complaint with the Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Czech Republic against Israeli reservist soldier and rapper Noam Tsourieli, accusing him of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity during the Gaza genocide.

According to Al-Jazeera, the Foundation stated that the complaint, filed by lawyer Jan Taubel in Prague, is based on an investigative report documenting Tsourieli’s alleged involvement in the destruction of civilian structures and his public glorification of these acts through his artistic works.

Tsourieli is currently believed to be in the Czech Republic after holding a concert in Prague on November 13, 2025.

The investigation claims Tsourieli served with the 699th Paratroopers Battalion of the 551st Brigade during the ground invasion of Gaza in October 2023. He is specifically linked to the controlled demolition of a civilian building in Beit Hanoun near a UNRWA school in November 2023.

The Foundation argues that this operation, which required full control of the site and the planting of explosives, was not justified by any urgent military necessity, constituting a war crime under international and Czech law.

The complaint invokes the principle of universal jurisdiction in Czech law, which allows authorities to prosecute certain grave crimes regardless of where they were committed or the nationality of the perpetrator. Charges include genocide, crimes against humanity, and war atrocities.

Natacha Braacq, the Foundation’s Head of Litigation, stated that Tsourieli participated in the “massive destruction of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure” and then “turned that devastation into entertainment.”

After returning from Gaza, Tsourieli released the song “Another Day in Gaza,” framing Israeli soldiers as “the light.”

The Foundation further noted that during a December 2024 performance, he reportedly projected real footage of Israeli troops demolishing Palestinian homes while performing lyrics that advocated for “shattering Gaza to pieces,” according to the Foundation’s report.

Call to Action

The Hind Rajab Foundation has urged Czech authorities to open an investigation, impose a travel ban or arrest Tsourieli, and seize his electronic devices to secure evidence, emphasizing that Europe should not serve as a safe haven for perpetrators.

This action is part of the Foundation’s broader legal campaign to ensure accountability for alleged atrocities committed during the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

The Hind Rajab Foundation

The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) is a legal advocacy and human rights organization established to carry on the memory of the five-year-old Palestinian girl whose name it bears. Hind Rajab was killed by the Israeli military, along with six of her relatives and two paramedics who attempted to rescue her, in Gaza on January 29, 2024.

The Foundation is not merely a legal entity but a potent, symbolic response to impunity and the systematic targeting of Palestinian civilians, especially children. Its purpose is to turn the widespread grief and outrage over the conflict’s human cost into concrete legal action.

The Foundation ensures the story of Hind — a child who pleaded for help during her last moments — remains at the forefront of the international conversation, representing the countless victims of the military operation.

It aggressively pursues cases against Israeli military personnel in national courts across Europe and the globe. By leveraging the principle of universal jurisdiction, which mandates states to investigate grave breaches of international law, the HRF seeks to ensure that perpetrators cannot find safe haven behind national borders or claim immunity.

The Foundation’s investigative reports systematically collect and present evidence — often sourced from the soldiers’ own social media—to challenge the Israeli military’s claims of adhering to the laws of war.

Its legal actions, such as the one against Tsourieli, aim to highlight the alleged culture of dehumanization and the glorification of violence against Palestinians, framing the actions not as isolated incidents but as part of a wider pattern of war crimes and acts of genocide.
