Rising Death Toll Across Gaza
At least six Palestinians, including two children, were killed on Tuesday in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, marking a rise in the daily death toll amid continued violations of the ceasefire.
A Palestinian was killed in an Israeli attack on the Al-Alami area in the Beit Lahia project in northern Gaza, with the body transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital.
Heavy Israeli gunfire was also reported east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, as attacks continued throughout the day.
In addition, Israeli forces demolished homes in Jabaliya camp and the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City, alongside further destruction reported in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the southeast of the city and the Abu Zaytoun area in the camp.
Occupation vehicles stationed along the eastern areas of central Gaza renewed gunfire toward residential zones, while artillery shelling targeted multiple areas across the Strip.
Police Vehicle Targeted
In Gaza City, an Israeli airstrike targeted a police vehicle, killing four Palestinians, including a police officer and a child, and injuring nine others, some critically.
According to the Gaza Interior Ministry, the vehicle belonged to the Al-Tuffah and Al-Daraj police station and was carrying out a routine mission when it was struck on Al-Nafaq Street.
The ministry said the wounded included police personnel and passersby, some in critical condition.
Hamas condemned the attack, stating that targeting a police vehicle represents a continuation of ongoing crimes against Palestinians in Gaza.
It said the strike reflects the intent of the Israeli government, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to undermine efforts to implement the ceasefire agreement.
Hamas added that the increased targeting of civilian police forces aims to “spread chaos in the sector, weaken the security system, and enable militias to carry out their agendas,” stressing that Palestinians would confront such efforts.
The movement also called on the United States, as guarantor of the ceasefire, and mediators to “assume their responsibilities” in stopping Israeli violations.
Attacks Across Gaza
The strike formed part of a wider escalation across the Gaza Strip.
At least six Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in Israeli attacks in multiple areas, according to health officials.
In northern Gaza, one Palestinian was killed in the Al-Alami area in Beit Lahia, while another was killed and several others were injured in Jabaliya.
In Gaza City, additional civilians were injured when Israeli forces targeted a group of Palestinians near Al-Mahatta Park in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood.
Israeli forces also carried out airstrikes near a pharmacy on Al-Nafaq Street and dropped explosives east of Al-Bureij refugee camp.
Heavy gunfire was reported from Israeli vehicles stationed along the eastern areas of central Gaza, alongside artillery shelling targeting northeastern parts of Al-Bureij.
Israeli occupation forces also demolished homes in Jabaliya camp and the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City.
Additional shelling and gunfire were reported in eastern Khan Yunis and other parts of the Strip, as attacks continued throughout the day.
A Palestinian was also killed in the Halawa camp area in Jabaliya, while others were wounded in separate incidents.
Ceasefire Violations
The latest attacks come as Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 11, 2025.
According to Palestinian sources, nearly 2,400 violations of the ceasefire have been recorded over the past six months.
For the 187th consecutive day, Israeli forces have continued military operations across Gaza, despite the agreement remaining formally in place.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the total death toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 72,333 Palestinians, with 172,202 injured.
The ministry added that thousands remain trapped under the rubble or in areas inaccessible to rescue teams.
The continued attacks highlight the fragile state of the ceasefire and the ongoing humanitarian toll across the Gaza Strip.
