Israeli drone strikes across southern and eastern Lebanon have killed multiple civilians in recent days, violating UN resolutions and heightening fears of a broader regional confrontation.
A Lebanese civilian was killed on Sunday when an Israeli drone targeted a car in the coastal border town of Naqoura, in the Tyre district of south Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
At the same time, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported another Israeli drone strike on a vehicle along the Nabi Sheet road in the Bekaa Valley, also killing one civilian.
In the southern town of Aitaroun, a man was injured when an unexploded Israeli ordnance detonated, the Health Ministry added. Earlier in the day, an Israeli drone bombed an excavator in Blida, putting it out of service.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces stationed in the occupied Shebaa Farms opened machine-gun fire toward nearby valleys. Al Mayadeen also reported that another drone dropped a stun grenade near farmers in Aita al-Shaab — another violation of Lebanese sovereignty amid the ongoing Israeli bombardment along the southern frontier.
On Saturday, a separate Israeli drone attack killed one Lebanese civilian and wounded another in the town of Harouf, in the Nabatieh district.
These assaults form part of a continuous Israeli escalation against southern and eastern Lebanese towns and villages. The Lebanese Health Ministry confirmed that on Friday, a similar strike hit a vehicle in Zawtar al-Gharbiya, also in Nabatieh, killing one person and injuring another.
Earlier in the week, two civilians were killed when an Israeli airstrike struck a car in the town of Toul, in the same district. The repeated attacks have drawn growing outrage across Lebanon, with residents accusing Israel of deliberately targeting civilians and vital infrastructure in defiance of international law and the ceasefire in effect since November 2024.
Analysts and officials say the Israeli assaults constitute a flagrant violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended the 2006 war, as well as the November 2024 ceasefire agreement. Despite these binding resolutions, Israeli occupation forces have continued to shell and bomb areas in southern Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley, and Beirut’s southern suburbs, threatening civilian lives and heightening fears of a broader confrontation.
Lebanese officials and resistance factions have denounced the escalating attacks, warning that Tel Aviv’s ongoing violations could push the region toward a new phase of conflict.
