Israeli authorities decided to close Karam Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom), Gaza’s main commercial crossing, on Monday.

Raed Fattouh, an official responsible for the entry of goods into Gaza, confirmed that Israeli border authorities informed him regarding the closure.

Fattouh said that the crossing would be closed until further notice.

Israeli authorities also decided to close the Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing, in northern Gaza.

The closure of the two border crossings came after a rocket was allegedly fired from the Gaza Strip struck an Israeli house, north of Tel Aviv City, in central Israel, injuring seven people.
