Iran launched new missile waves against Israel and warned that continued attacks on Lebanon could unleash broader escalation.

key Developments

  • Iran launched missile barrages toward northern and central Israel, triggering sirens across multiple regions.
  • Tehran warned that any expansion of Israeli attacks on Lebanon would result in “more crushing and regrettable blows.”
  • Hezbollah announced new drone operations against Israeli positions in southern Lebanon as tensions escalated.

Iran launched several missile barrages against Israel on Sunday night, triggering sirens across large parts of northern and central Israel and marking the latest escalation in the rapidly expanding confrontation.

Iranian state television announced the launch of several waves of missiles toward central northern and central areas in Israel.

Shortly afterward, the Israeli military confirmed additional launches from Iran.

Sirens sounded across Haifa, Hadera, Karmiel and other areas, while Israeli media reported explosions across northern Israel.

The Home Front Command ordered shelters opened in multiple areas as air defense systems attempted interceptions.

Israeli media also reported preliminary information indicating damage to a building in Tiberias.

‘They Have Received Their Response’

As missile launches continued, senior Iranian officials signaled that Tehran considered its warnings already translated into action.

Mohsen Rezaei, senior military adviser to the Iranian Leader, declared:

“The aggressors have received their response.”

The statement reflected Tehran’s position that the latest missile attacks were part of an ongoing response to Israeli actions in Lebanon and elsewhere.

Iran: Israel Crossed All Red Lines

The most detailed warning came from Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiyaa Central Command.

The command accused Israel of repeatedly violating ceasefire arrangements and escalating attacks against Lebanon with American backing.

“The aggressor Zionist regime, through repeated violations of the ceasefire, is increasing its crimes day after day against the oppressed Lebanese people with a green light and support from criminal America.”

The statement specifically pointed to Sunday’s Israeli strike on Beirut’s southern suburbs.

“Despite previous warnings issued by the Islamic Republic of Iran, this child-killing Zionist entity has crossed all red lines and intensified its attacks in southern Lebanon, targeting Beirut’s southern suburbs.”

According to the command, Tehran had already warned Israel that attacks on Beirut would carry consequences.

“We had previously warned that if crimes in Beirut’s southern suburbs expanded, we would target objectives deep inside the occupied territories.”

‘More Crushing and Blows’

Iranian military officials warned that the latest missile attacks should not be interpreted as the final stage of the response.

“The Zionist army must stop its attacks on southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs.”

The statement then issued a direct warning to Israel and its supporters.

“If it expands its attacks on that region, or responds to Iran’s actions, it will face more crushing and regrettable blows.”

It added that “destructive attacks will begin against the regime and its supporters.”

The warning suggests that Tehran views the current confrontation as directly linked to developments in Lebanon and is prepared to escalate further if Israeli operations continue.

Israel Threatens Retaliation

Israeli officials responded by indicating that retaliation remained under consideration.

An Israeli official told local media that Iran was attempting to establish a “new equation” in the region.

“Iran wanted to impose a new equation, but we cannot allow that to happen,” the official said.

Israeli sources cited by public broadcasters also indicated that a response to the missile launches was being prepared.

The Israeli military simultaneously announced heightened readiness levels.

Alert over Hezbollah Response

Israeli fears were not limited to Iran.

Military officials also warned that Hezbollah could launch additional operations following Sunday’s Israeli strike on Beirut.

According to Israeli media reports, the air force increased deployments of fighter jets and surveillance drones over Lebanon amid fears of further escalation.

Hezbollah Launches New Operations

While Iranian missiles targeted Israel, Hezbollah announced additional operations against Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.

Late Sunday, the resistance said it targeted an Israeli military deployment near the port area of Naqoura using a swarm of attack drones.

The operation came after a series of earlier attacks throughout the day targeting Israeli troop concentrations, military vehicles and positions across southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah said the operations were conducted in response to Israeli attacks on Lebanese civilians and continued violations of the ceasefire.
