The illegal Israeli Jewish settlers stormed the house in a Bedouin community on Sunday, where the foreign activists have been residing in solidarity with Palestinian residents for a few days.
Three Italian and one Canadian activist were injured in an attack by illegal Israeli Jewish settlers in Ein ad-Duyuk village of Jericho in the central occupied West Bank, who broke into the house they were staying in, according to reports.
“At 4:30 a.m. on 30 November, 10 masked settlers, two carrying army-issued rifles, entered the home where we were sleeping after night-watch,” the Canadian activist said in a written statement cited by the Al Mayadeen news agency.
“They beat us for about 15 minutes. I was repeatedly kicked in the head, ribs, hips, and thighs. They shouted insults in Arabic and told us we had no right to be there. They smashed the interior of the house and destroyed the solar batteries before leaving,” the activist, who requested anonymity for safety reasons, added.

The volunteer emphasized, “This is not about us. We were beaten for 15 minutes. Palestinians here endure this violence every day, every hour, a thousand-fold.”
Activists Hospitalized
The illegal Israeli Jewish settlers stormed the house in a Bedouin community on Sunday, where the foreign activists have been residing in solidarity with Palestinian residents for a few days, and assaulted them, the Anadolu news agency reported, citing local sources.

The attackers also attempted to steal the activists’ passports, phones, and belongings, in addition to property from the house, the sources said. The activists were hospitalized, as three of them sustained moderate injuries and the fourth was critically wounded.
‘Violent Acts’
Canada’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the attack, calling it “violent acts committed by extremist settlers”, adding that it “opposes any actions or talk about annexation of the Palestinian territories,” Al Mayadeen reported.
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani also denounced the attack saying, “We have had enough of this aggression. This is not the way (for the settlers) to assert their rights,” the report added.

Manal Tamimi, a Palestinian activist with Faz3a, an organization that facilitates on the ground civil protection to protect villages in the West Bank, reportedly said that since a new outpost was built near the village two months ago, “far-right wing settlers, who are very violent and seem to belong to an organized group” have arrived. Tamimi said the attack was carried out “in a really organized way.”
Escalating Attacks
Illegal settler violence has escalated in recent months with the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission saying that settlers have carried out 766 attacks against Palestinians and their property in the occupied territory in October alone, Anadolu stated.
On Tuesday, dozens of illegal settlers stormed the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, setting fire to a tractor belonging to a Palestinian farmer Iyad Salah Abu al-Raghib, WAFA reported.

The settlers also attempted to set a vehicle on fire and sprayed racist graffiti on the walls of a house.
In the Jordan valley, settlers paved dirt roads on Palestinian land in Khirbet al-Deir in the northern Jordan Valley on Tuesday, WAFA reported.
Human rights activist Aref Daraghmeh said they paved the roads to gain access to the area’s springs, the report added.
Over 1,000 Killed
More than 1,085 Palestinians have been killed, and 10,700 others injured in attacks by the army and illegal Israeli settlers in the occupied territory since October 2023, when Israel launched its genocidal assault on the Gaza Strip. More than 20,500 people have also been arrested.
