Israeli occupation forces carried out demolition operations in the southern Gaza city of Rafah early Sunday, while gunfire and airstrikes injured several Palestinians in Khan Yunis and eastern Gaza City, marking continued violations of the ceasefire agreement.
According to Al Mayadeen, Israeli troops detonated buildings in Rafah despite the announcement by US envoy Steve Witkoff that the ceasefire had entered its second phase.
Medical sources reported that two Palestinians, including a child, were injured by Israeli gunfire in the al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis. Additional injuries were reported following Israeli shelling in the “car market” area of the al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
WAFA news agency said several civilians were wounded by fire from an Israeli drone in al-Zeitoun, while Israeli forces also opened fire on Palestinians east of the al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, in Khan Yunis, and in Beit Lahia in the north.

Over the past hours, Israeli forces have carried out a series of attacks across the Strip, including the demolition of residential buildings east of Khan Younis and west of Rafah, and the detonation of an explosive-laden robot north of Beit Lahia.
These incidents come as Israeli forces continue firing on civilians across multiple areas of Gaza, despite the ceasefire remaining officially in place.

Since the ceasefire was declared, Israeli attacks have killed 464 Palestinians, injured 1,275, and led to the recovery of 712 bodies from beneath the rubble, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
The cumulative toll since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, has risen to 71,548 killed and 171,353 injured, health officials said.

Ongoing Genocide
The continued attacks come amid what international legal experts and human rights organizations have described as a genocidal assault on Gaza. Since October 2023, the Israeli genocide has devastated the Strip, destroying vast areas of civilian infrastructure and displacing most of the population.
Despite repeated ceasefire announcements, Israeli forces have continued operations across Gaza, including demolitions, shelling, and gunfire targeting civilians. Humanitarian access remains severely restricted, and large parts of Gaza remain uninhabitable, raising grave concerns over further loss of life as winter conditions persist.
