Eight Palestinians were killed in 24 hours, including a child who later died of wounds, as ceasefire violations continued across Gaza.
Key Developments
- Eight Palestinians were killed and 20 wounded in the latest 24-hour reporting period.
- Ten-year-old Walid Youssef Abu Jazar died from wounds sustained in an earlier Israeli strike.
- The death toll since the October 2025 ceasefire has risen to 1,038, with 3,329 wounded.
Eight Palestinians were killed and 20 others wounded by Israeli fire over the past 24 hours, Gaza’s Health Ministry announced on Saturday, as Israel continued its daily violations of the ceasefire and the number of Palestinians killed since the truce took effect surpassed 1,000.
Among the latest victims was a 10-year-old boy who succumbed to wounds sustained in an earlier Israeli attack in southern Gaza.
Medical officials at Nasser Hospital said Walid Youssef Abu Jazar, 10, died from injuries he suffered days earlier when Israeli forces struck the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis.
His death was included in the ministry’s latest daily casualty report, which recorded eight fatalities during the past 24 hours.
According to the ministry, the latest toll also includes one body recovered from beneath the rubble.
Twenty Palestinians were reported injured during the same period.

Death Toll Climbs
The Health Ministry said Israeli ceasefire violations have now killed 1,038 Palestinians and wounded 3,329 others since the ceasefire entered into force on October 11, 2025.
During the same period, rescue teams have recovered 786 bodies from beneath destroyed buildings and other locations.
The ministry added that numerous victims remain trapped under the rubble or in areas inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense crews.
The latest casualties pushed the cumulative toll from Israel’s military offensive on Gaza since October 7, 2023, to 73,051 Palestinians killed and 173,437 wounded, according to the Health Ministry.

Israeli Operations Continue
Meanwhile, Israeli military activity continued in central Gaza.
Local residents reported that Israeli tanks and a military bulldozer advanced east of Deir al-Balah and southwest of Al-Maghazi under heavy gunfire, expanding areas under Israeli military control.
The operation reportedly involved moving the concrete barriers marking the so-called “yellow line,” extending territory Palestinians are prevented from accessing.
Earlier this week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged that Israeli forces now control approximately 70 percent of the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire.
Hamas said Israel continues to violate the ceasefire through military attacks, territorial expansion and the ongoing blockade of Gaza.
The movement called on mediators to pressure Israel to halt its violations, including continued attacks on civilians and the expansion of military-controlled areas.
