Extremist Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir filmed himself inside a prison, verbally abusing Palestinian detainees held in harsh conditions and openly calling for their execution.

Another shocking video has emerged showing extremist Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir threatening Palestinian prisoners inside an Israeli detention facility, demanding their execution.

The footage, which reflects rising incitement and racist rhetoric within the Israeli government, shows Ben Gvir forcing his way into Notzot Prison. Addressing the detainees, he openly called for the death penalty to be implemented against them, labeling them “terrorists.”

Ben Gvir was seen speaking to the prisoners, who were packed into a cell, bound, and sitting on the floor in dehumanizing conditions. The extremist minister mocked them, saying, “You won’t get chocolate, jam, television, or radio,” confirming that basic rights and simple comforts were intentionally taken from them.

The appearance of Ben Gvir, a far-right politician known for his anti-Arab and ultranationalist stance, further highlights the punitive approach of the current Israeli government toward Palestinian prisoners.

Ben Gvir is widely considered an extremist figure and has been barred from entering several countries due to his role in the Israeli genocide, including complicity in the severe mistreatment of Palestinian detainees and the escalating violence against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.

Activists widely condemned the video, viewing it as a blatant illustration of state-sanctioned revenge and a direct challenge to international conventions that prohibit infringing upon the dignity of prisoners.

Incendiary Quotes: Ben Gvir’s History of Extremism

The Minister of National Security has a long history of inflammatory statements, many of which call for violence or collective punishment against Palestinians. Here are a few examples:

In August 2023, Ben Gvir stated, “My right, the right of my wife and my children to move around Judea and Samaria (The occupied Palestinian West Bank-PC) is more important than freedom of movement for the Arabs.” This comment, made during a TV interview about the occupied West Bank, was widely condemned as an open admission of an apartheid ideology.

In January 2024, Ben Gvir repeatedly demanded the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, stating publicly, “We must promote a solution to encourage the emigration of Gaza’s residents,” and, “It is ethical! It is rational! It is right! It is the truth! It is the Torah and it is the only way!”

Throughout 2024 and 2025, Ben Gvir has frequently demanded the implementation of the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners, calling for them to be “killed with a shot to the head” and threatening to topple the government if the necessary legislation is not passed.

Following reports in July 2024 that Israeli soldiers were detained on suspicion of aggravated abuse and forcible sodomy of a Palestinian prisoner at the Sde Teiman detention camp, Ben Gvir condemned the investigation. He publicly defended the accused soldiers, calling their prosecution “shameful” and demanding that military authorities provide them with “full support.”

Since late 2023, Ben Gvir has pushed for a total cessation of aid to Gaza, declaring that “there is no reason for a gram of food or aid to enter Gaza,” utilizing the denial of essential resources as a political and military tactic. These tactics ultimately led to the Gaza famine, which killed hundreds, mostly children.

No Peace without Justice: Disarming Hamas Means Disarming the Palestinian Cause

During earlier periods of political activism, Ben Gvir was recorded chanting on various occasions the racist slogan “Death to Arabs” at nationalist marches, reflecting his ultranationalist and anti-Arab roots.
