A Palestinian child was seriously injured by Israeli occupation gunfire northwest of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, while two others were wounded when Israeli forces shelled a civilian vehicle in Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis.
Earlier, Al-Jazeera reported that Israeli forces had detonated residential buildings southeast of Khan Yunis and shelled eastern Deir al-Balah in central Gaza with artillery fire.
On Friday evening, Israeli occupation forces killed two Palestinian brothers in an artillery strike east of Deir al-Balah, claiming they had crossed the so-called “Yellow Line” — the demarcation boundary Israel has set between its deployed forces in the east and the supposedly “safe” areas in the west under the ceasefire agreement.

These attacks come despite reports by the Israeli Broadcasting Authority that Washington has been pressuring Tel Aviv to refrain from escalating tensions or taking punitive measures over Hamas’s alleged failure to return all the bodies of Israeli prisoners under the ceasefire deal.
According to the British newspaper The Guardian, the recent visits by senior US officials to the region signal a clear warning from Washington to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his coalition partners to avoid obstructing the Gaza ceasefire or advancing plans to annex the occupied West Bank.
Hamas, for its part, has demanded the entry of heavy machinery into Gaza to help search for the bodies of Israeli prisoners, a request Israel has rejected.
The movement confirmed it had completed the first phase of the agreement by releasing the living prisoners and returning several bodies, adding that it was working to finalize the process.

However, according to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir told US Vice President JD Vance that advancing to the second stage of the Trump plan remains impossible until Hamas returns all remaining bodies.
The ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement, brokered on October 9 between Israel and Hamas under a plan proposed by US President Donald Trump, took effect the following day. Under the terms of the deal, Israeli forces partially withdrew to new positions east of the “Yellow Line,” which Palestinians describe as a “temporary withdrawal line.”
Despite this partial withdrawal, Israel continues to occupy approximately 53 percent of the Gaza Strip, with further redeployments tied to later phases of the agreement.

Earlier on Friday, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority also reported that Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir had called during a cabinet meeting for targeting Palestinians — including children — who approach the Yellow Line.

Genocidaires will genocide, come what may. And Israel’s refusal to permit heavy machinery to enter the Gaza Strip should be logged as a ceasfuire violation, since it is done with the deliberate intent to prevent Hamas finding then returning the bodies of the Israeli Prisoners of War buried by Israel’s massive mombarment and subsequent demolition of apartment towers and the like.
