Despite a ceasefire, at least 335 people have been killed and 973 others wounded in 1,038 Israeli attacks.
Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes across parts of south Lebanon and the western Bekaa region on Friday, in yet another ceasefire violation, the Beirut-based Al Mayadeen news network reported.
The attacks were preceded by intensive low-altitude flights conducted by both warplanes and drones, the network reported, saying it signaled “a deliberate campaign of intimidation and surveillance ahead of the strikes.”

Airstrikes also struck the areas between Zrarieh and Ansar, as well as the stretch between Tuffahta and Bisariyeh. Additional raids targeted Mahmoudieh and Jarmaq, near Aishieh in the Jezzine region of south Lebanon.
Multiple airstrikes were also carried out between the towns of Houmin and Roumine, the report stated.

In eastern Lebanon, four strikes targeted Wadi Zlayya in West Bekaa, with Israeli aircraft continuing to fly at medium altitude over the area, according to the Lebanon news agency cited by Anadolu.

The latest attacks follow at least six Israeli airstrikes on different areas in south Lebanon overnight on December 9, Al Mayadeen reported.
Over 4,000 Killed
A ceasefire has been in place in Lebanon since November 2024, after more than a year of attacks that killed more than 4,000 people and injured 17,000 others against the backdrop of Israel’s genocidal assault on Gaza.

At least 335 people have been killed and 973 others wounded in 1,038 Israeli attacks since the ceasefire took effect, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.
The Israeli army was supposed to withdraw from southern Lebanon in January 2025 under the ceasefire, but instead only partially pulled out and continues to maintain a military presence at five border outposts.
