Israeli drone strikes killed one Lebanese civilian and injured others in Yater as Israel continues to repeat ceasefire violations in south Lebanon.

One Lebanese civilian was killed, and several others were injured on Sunday in two Israeli drone strikes targeting the southern Lebanese town of Yater, according to the Lebanese news network Al Mayadeen.

The report said an Israeli drone struck a car in Yater, killing one person. A second drone attack later hit a motorcycle in the same town, wounding several others. No further details were immediately available regarding the condition of the injured.

Earlier on Sunday, Israeli occupation forces escalated attacks elsewhere in southern Lebanon.

According to Al Mayadeen, Israeli units positioned at the Rweisat al-Alam occupation site opened machine-gun fire toward residential homes in the town of Kfar Chouba, causing fear among civilians.

Israeli drone strikes were also reported in other southern Lebanese towns despite the ceasefire.

On Saturday evening, a drone strike targeted the town of al-Taybeh in the Marjayoun district.

Earlier that day, Israeli drones dropped bombs on the town of Blida, also in Marjayoun. A separate suicide drone later struck a house that had already been damaged in previous Israeli attacks.

Israeli occupation forces additionally opened live fire from the settlement of Misgav Am toward the Odaisseh–Kfar Kila road along the Lebanese border, further escalating tensions.

The attacks come as Israel continues to occupy five positions in south Lebanon and carry out repeated violations despite the ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024 and UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Lebanon has reaffirmed its full commitment to the agreement, even as Israeli violations persist.

According to a recent UNIFIL report, more than 10,000 violations of Resolution 1701 have been recorded by Israel since November 27, 2024. UNIFIL stated that these include over 7,500 air violations and nearly 2,500 land breaches north of the Blue Line since the ceasefire took effect.
