Israeli occupation forces demolished Alaraqeeb, a Bedouin village in the Negev for the 102nd time. Alaraqeeb as well as dozens of other communities and villages in the Negev are not recognized by Israel.

Saleem Alaraqeeb from the village said “Israeli destruction vehicles supported by police stormed the village on Friday and ruined the village, including the Muslim graveyard.”

The Israeli forces continue to harass Palestinians in the village and its surroundings. The village was under siege for 10 days in July during which the Israeli police destroyed hundreds of dunums (acres) and assaulted the villagers in an attempt to take over the land.

Israel does not recognize 51 Palestinian villages and communities in the Negev. The Israeli police harass the inhabitants of these communities on a daily basis in an attempt to kick them out and implement Israeli projects in their stead.
