Israeli forces continued airstrikes and demolition operations behind the Yellow Line in Gaza on Monday, as severe winter conditions and ongoing restrictions on aid worsened already catastrophic humanitarian conditions.
The Israeli occupation army launched a series of airstrikes on Monday morning, along with demolition operations, artillery fire, and heavy gunfire targeting several areas located beyond what is known as the Yellow Line in the Gaza Strip.
According to Al-Jazeera, Israeli aircraft carried out three consecutive strikes accompanied by intense tank and artillery shelling east of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.
The correspondent also reported that Israeli forces demolished several buildings behind the Yellow Line in the Sheja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City.
Despite the ceasefire agreement taking effect on October 10, the occupation army has continued systematic demolition and destruction of remaining buildings located beyond the Yellow Line.

Humanitarian Conditions Worsen
UNICEF warned of rapidly deteriorating living and health conditions in the Gaza Strip, stressing that children are particularly vulnerable to disease under harsh winter and displacement conditions.
The organization stated that thousands of families are currently sheltering in tents that are not equipped to withstand heavy rain and cold temperatures, while humanitarian supplies prepared by UNICEF outside Gaza are still awaiting Israeli entry approval.
Displaced Palestinians continue to live in dire conditions, lacking heating, sanitation, mobile homes, and essential supplies needed to weather winter storms.
The situation worsened further after a low-pressure weather system struck the Gaza Strip, particularly affecting the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis, which hosts the largest concentration of displaced people.
The Government Media Office said that approximately 93 percent of tents were damaged due to rainfall, leaving thousands without shelter.
In a separate development, a medical source at the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City reported late Sunday that a Palestinian was killed and others wounded after Israeli shelling struck the Al-Sha’af area in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City.
Eyewitnesses said the strike targeted a group of Palestinians attempting to return to their destroyed homes behind the Yellow Line to retrieve winter clothing.

Rising Death Toll
In its daily update, the Gaza Health Ministry said hospitals received 17 bodies within the past 24 hours — including two Palestinians killed by Israeli gunfire — and 15 bodies recovered from beneath collapsed buildings. Rescue teams continue to report difficulty reaching victims trapped under rubble.
According to the ministry, the total number of Palestinians killed since Israel launched its war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has risen to 69,483, while 170,706 have been wounded.
Since the latest ceasefire began on October 10, 2025, the ministry has recorded 266 deaths, 635 injuries, and the recovery of 548 bodies from under the rubble.
