ISRAELI MEDIA: Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz acknowledged that efforts are now underway to reach a prisoner exchange and ceasefire deal in the Gaza Strip, saying:

“There is now a conflict between the war’s two goals: defeating Hamas and returning the hostages. Therefore, the decision has been made to pursue a deal.”
