The Qassam Brigades released footage of fighters targeting Israeli tanks and armored vehicles in Jabaliya as part of the newly launched “Moses’ Staff” operations, a response to Israel’s Gideon 2 campaign.
The Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, released video footage documenting the targeting of Israeli military vehicles in Jabaliya, in the northern Gaza Strip, as part of a series of operations dubbed “Moses’ Staff.”
The footage shows three Qassam fighters emerging from a destroyed house to strike a Merkava tank and an armored personnel carrier on Al-Ghabari Street. One fighter fired a “Yasin 105” shell at the tank, while another planted an explosive device on the armored vehicle before withdrawing.
Additional scenes depict a fighter climbing onto another tank and attempting to open its cockpit to throw in an explosive. When he found it locked, the fighters struck the tank and another nearby with Al-Yasin missiles and machine gun fire.
Earlier on Wednesday, the resistance announced the launch of Operation Moses’ Staff, describing it as a response to Israel’s “Gideon 2” campaign aimed at occupying Gaza City.
A resistance source told Al-Jazeera that the first actions under this operation took place in recent days in Jabaliya and the Zaytoun neighborhood, just hours after Israel declared the start of Gideon 2.

Ongoing Genocide
Since reneging on the ceasefire on March 18, Israel has continued its bloody aerial bombardment across the Gaza Strip, killing and wounding thousands of Palestinians.
Starting on October 7, 2023, the Israeli military, with American support, launched a genocidal war against the people of Gaza. This campaign has so far resulted in the deaths of more than 63,700 Palestinians, with more than 161,000 wounded. The vast majority of the population has been displaced, and the destruction of infrastructure is unprecedented since World War II. Thousands of people are still missing.
In addition to the military assault, the Israeli blockade has caused a man-made famine, leading to the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians—mostly children—with hundreds of thousands more at risk.
Despite widespread international condemnation, little has been done to hold Israel accountable. The nation is currently under investigation for genocide by the International Court of Justice, while accused war criminals, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, are officially wanted by the International Criminal Court.
