Nearly 100 Killed in One Day
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that more than 97 people were killed and 133 wounded in Israeli raids across Lebanon in a single day, amid a sharp military escalation.
The ministry said the total toll since March 2 has risen to 2,020 killed and 6,436 wounded, as aerial and artillery bombardment continues across southern Lebanon and other areas.
Among the dead were eight people killed in the town of Tuffahta, alongside additional casualties reported across multiple locations targeted in recent hours.
The Israeli army said it carried out more than 200 raids on Hezbollah positions within 24 hours, in one of the most intense waves of escalation, accompanied by widespread shelling and strikes on residential areas.
According to Al Mayadeen, Israeli strikes extended across a wide range of towns, including Deir Qanoun, Abba, Tebnine, Halta, Jouya, Zrarieh, Abbasieh, Ma’raka, and the Ali Taher heights in Nabatieh.

The escalation included heavy artillery shelling, clashes on the ground, and the reported use of phosphorus shells in some border areas.
Al Mayadeen reported additional strikes on Maaroub, where six people were killed, and Qana, where five were killed after homes and infrastructure were targeted.
Further raids hit Tyre, Bazouriyeh, Sadiqin, Qalila, Qallawiya, Bafliyeh, Sarbin, Haris, Kfar, and Khirbet Selm, among other areas.
Airstrikes also targeted roads linking key towns, including routes between Deir al-Zahrani and Nabatieh, and between Shebaa and Habbarieh, disrupting movement as civil defense teams worked to clear rubble.
Healthcare and Civilian Targets Hit
Israeli strikes also hit paramedic and healthcare points, including a targeted site of the Islamic Health Authority in the town of al-Majadel.
The continued targeting of civilian infrastructure and rescue operations comes amid ongoing warnings from Lebanese authorities that healthcare workers are increasingly being struck during operations.
Entire neighborhoods and infrastructure in southern Lebanon have sustained heavy destruction as raids continued in successive waves throughout the day and night.
Hezbollah Escalates Military Operations
Hezbollah announced an escalation in its operations in response to the attacks, targeting Israeli occupation forces and military infrastructure.
The group said it struck Merkava tanks in Bint Jbeil and al-Adisa, launched rocket barrages toward the Upper Galilee, and carried out attacks on military sites inside Israel.
It also confirmed targeting Israeli occupation soldiers in the Yir’on area with a swarm of attack drones.
This is the Line: Stand With the Palestine Chronicle — Or Surrender the Truth
Hezbollah said its operations come in response to continued Israeli attacks and will continue as long as the aggression persists.
Additionally, sirens sounded multiple times across northern Israel, particularly in the Upper Galilee and Kiryat Shmona areas, following rocket fire and reported drone activity from Lebanon.
Israeli media reported the interception of rockets and at least one drone, as alerts triggered widespread disruptions across the region.
The Israeli army said two soldiers were wounded during clashes in southern Lebanon, as ground operations continued alongside airstrikes and heavy helicopter fire.
