US forces launched fresh attacks across southern Iran, striking eight cities as Washington confirmed its ninth consecutive night of operations.

Key Developments

  • CENTCOM announced its ninth consecutive night of strikes against Iran.
  • US attacks reportedly targeted eight Iranian cities, primarily in the country’s south.
  • Iranian media reported strikes on ports, coastal facilities and military sites.
  • Washington said the attacks aimed to weaken Iran’s military capabilities around the Strait of Hormuz.

The United States launched a new wave of attacks across southern Iran early Monday, targeting at least eight cities as Washington confirmed the ninth consecutive night of military operations against the country.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it had completed what it described as its “ninth consecutive round of strikes against Iran.”

According to CENTCOM, the operation targeted Iranian military command centers, air defense systems, coastal surveillance facilities, naval capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and communications networks.

The command said the strikes were intended to reduce Iran’s ability to target commercial shipping and civilian vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

Eight Cities Targeted

Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Tehran reported that US attacks struck eight Iranian cities, while Iranian media said multiple locations across western and southern Iran came under attack.

Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported explosions at Mahshahr Port and Imam Khomeini Port in Khuzestan Province.

The official IRNA news agency said eight projectiles struck Chabahar Port and Konarak Port in Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

Meanwhile, Fars News Agency reported that two projectiles hit a site in Bushehr Province, while Iranian state television said three explosions were heard in Tabriz.

Iranian television also reported that the targeted site in Sirik Port had already been struck during previous US attacks, adding that Washington was attempting to disrupt Iran’s ability to monitor the Strait of Hormuz.

Focus on Southern Coast

The latest attacks continue a pattern of US operations concentrated along Iran’s southern coastline, where ports, coastal surveillance infrastructure and other strategic maritime facilities have repeatedly been targeted.

Iran has responded to previous attacks by launching missile and drone strikes against US military bases and interests across the region, including facilities in Gulf states, Jordan and Syria, while also targeting infrastructure linked to US military operations.

  1. ALL military personel should step down. Refuse to fight. This is beyond ridiculous. Trump only did this because the Jewish Nazis gave him $Millions. Remember when that was called, a bribe?
None of us should be proud.

    • I think most US soldiers are there not because they love “Israel” or hate Iran, it’s just work. The only work is the Pentagon. Wages, health plan, dental, etc., their families can benefit. It’s an obscene, capitalist, nightmare. I don’t know, but maybe would like to leave – but they can’t. G.I. Joe & G. I. Jane slaves on the Pentagon plantation.
