Settler Violence Spreads

Seven Palestinians were injured in a series of attacks carried out by illegal Israeli settlers across multiple areas of the occupied West Bank, according to medical sources and local reports.

In the village of Jalud, southeast of Nablus, three Palestinians were treated for injuries after settlers stormed the area and assaulted residents. The attackers set fire to the village council building and burned four vehicles.

In the nearby village of Fandaqumiya, south of Jenin, settlers set fire to several homes and vehicles. Local sources reported that residents attempted to confront the attackers as fires spread through residential areas and property was damaged.

Additional attacks were reported in Bruqin, where three Palestinians sustained injuries after settlers threw stones at their vehicles, and in Silat ad-Dhahr, where a resident was beaten and injured during an attempt to set his home on fire.

In the Jordan Valley community of Ein al-Hilweh, settlers sprayed residents with pepper spray, while in Qalqilya, vehicles were targeted with stones near the settlement of Qadumim.

Local reports also indicated the closure of a main road connecting Ramallah to Nablus following settler activity in the area.

Ongoing Violence

According to Palestinian human rights groups and detainee advocacy organizations, more than 9,300 Palestinians are currently held in Israeli prisons, including 79 women and 350 children. These groups have documented allegations of torture, starvation, and medical neglect, which they say have contributed to the deaths of several detainees.

Data collected by Palestinian human rights organizations indicate that approximately 1,965 attacks by Israeli forces and settlers were recorded across the West Bank in February alone, including assaults, arson incidents, and destruction of property.

Since October 2023, over 1,133 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank, with around 11,700 others injured and approximately 22,000 detained, according to Palestinian human rights reports.
