Palestinians Shot and Injured, Homes Demolished, Ongoing Settler Attacks in West Bank

Israeli forces also continued their deployment in several neighborhoods of Qalqilya and conducted raids targeting the homes of former prisoners.

Israeli occupation forces escalated their aggression in the occupied West Bank on Thursday, carrying out raids on several cities and villages, shooting and injuring at least two Palestinians.

According to the Quds News Network (QNN), these raids included the use of live ammunition and stun grenades, as well as arrest campaigns targeting dozens of Palestinians, including former prisoners and children.

In the town of Dura, southwest of Hebron (al-Khalil), occupation forces surrounded the home of Khaled Hassan al-Fasfous and opened fire on him, wounding him, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported. The occupation forces prevented ambulance crews from reaching al-Fasfous before detaining him.

Clashes with Youth

Clashes erupted between Palestinian youth and occupation forces in the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem, the city of Qalqilya, and the town of Idhna, west of Hebron. Israeli forces fired live ammunition, injuring a Palestinian man in the foot during a raid on the al-Naqqar neighborhood in Qalqilya.

Israeli forces also continued their deployment in several neighborhoods of Qalqilya and conducted raids targeting the homes of former prisoners.

In Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, Israeli occupation forces stormed Khirbet al-Majaz for the second time in a matter of hours, raiding the home of Mahmoud Musa Abu Aram and forcing his family to evacuate, turning it into a military post.

They also stormed al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron, raiding several homes and firing stun grenades during the incursion.

The raids extended to the northern West Bank, where occupation forces stormed the village of Tell, southwest of Nablus, the al-Masaken al-Sha’biya neighborhood east of the city, Wadi al-Far’a south of Tubas, and the town of Mithlon south of Jenin. They also stormed the old and new Askar refugee camps and the Rafidia neighborhood west of Nablus, amidst reports of an explosion in the old Askar camp, QNN reported.

In Hebron, occupation forces carried out a large-scale raid and arrest campaign in the towns of Sa’ir and al-Shuyukh, including a raid on the home of the slain Muhammad Kawazba, and the arrest of several residents, including the recently released prisoner Muhammad Fahim Shalalda.

The campaign resulted in the arrest of 15 Palestinians, including several youth: Muhammad Hussam Abu Mustafa, Omar Dweikat, Muhammad Omar Al-Tirawi, Sharif Qandil, Ahmad Hazem Nassar, and Hamad Abu Hamda.

Elsewhere, Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah; the town of Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem; the Al-Kasarat neighborhood, north of Jerusalem; and the town of Anabta, east of Tulkarm, arresting several young men and boys, including Iyad Alaa Faqha and Muhammad Yusuf Akka.

Eight young men were also arrested during a raid on the town of Arraba, southwest of Jenin.

Home Demolished

According to QNN, Israeli occupation forces also demolished the home of the family of the slain Imran al-Atrash in Hebron on Thursday. The army stormed the city from several directions with a large number of soldiers and military vehicles.

The occupation forces also stormed the Khallat Nafisa area south of the city and forcibly evicted the al-Atrash family from their home before carrying out the demolition, while simultaneously imposing a military cordon around the area.

The occupation soldiers also forced Palestinian families in the vicinity of the al-Atrash home to leave their homes, amidst a heavy deployment of military patrols and bulldozers.

Al-Atrash was involved in the car-ramming and stabbing attack that took place near the Gush Etzion settlement bloc south of the West Bank about two months ago, which resulted in the death and injury of several illegal settlers, QNN said.

Last December, the occupation army notified the Al-Atrash family of its intention to demolish the house, after Imran was shot and killed by occupation forces on November 18, along with Walid Sabarna, also involved in the operation.

Illegal Settler Attacks

Illegal Israeli Jewish settler mobs on Thursday also continued their attacks, cutting down olive trees in the Marj Si’a plain in the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, in yet another attack on Palestinian agricultural land.

Israeli occupation forces also stormed the village of Qalandiya, north of occupied Jerusalem, on Thursday and began bulldozing olive groves.

In another incident, an elderly Palestinian man was injured on Thursday during an attack by illegal settlers, while another mob stormed a school with their livestock in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to WAFA.

Osama Makhameh told the news agency that armed illegal settlers from the Susiya outpost, established on Palestinian land in Masafer Yatta, attacked shepherds in the Wadi al-Rakheem area.

Mohammed Hussein Shannar sustained bruises to his back and was treated at the scene.

In a separate incident, another group of illegal settlers stormed Al-Fakhit School in Masafer Yatta, driving herds of camels into the schoolyard and facilities near Palestinian homes, the report stated.
